June 2022 – Newsletter

Hey RedLiners,

I would like to start by welcoming you all back to the office and (in some ways) back to reality!

Though it’s been said, many times, many ways, it feels like we are finally getting over the looming threat of the COVID 19 pandemic. It’s been great seeing you all return to work, and I hope you’ve all been able to connect with the friends and family you may have missed over the past couple years. I know I have.

I want to thank everyone for working through all the hardships that COVID brought on. Whether it was working from home or out in the field, we persevered and proved we could get things done in relative isolation. I’m proud to be working with such a strong team of individuals who keep up that RedLine spirit to get the job done!

It was great seeing all those who made it out to Hinton for the May long weekend. Summer is coming and we would like to put on another social event as the months heat up! It appears most aren’t interested in doing the Oxford Stomp, so I’d like you all to consider the other options. Go-Cart racing is high on the alternate list, but we also have options for mini golf, real golf, axe throwing, or an afternoon at the gun range. Personally, I vote for an evening at The Garage in Eau Claire, where we could grab a few drinks and watch as I maintain my foosball supremacy!

Remember to email us at [email protected] with suggestions.

Looks like we are heading into a great summer of fun and family! Make sure to take advantage of our wonderful Canadian weather window and take a deserved vacation.

Appreciate you all,

Pete’s out!

Business Development

As many of you know, Darcy has transitioned into a business development role over the past number of weeks. He’s actively seeking new clients and opportunities to help us build the RedLine brand to encompass a broader range of clientele and specialties. We want to widen our scope so that our personnel can be involved in new and interesting opportunities.

If anyone has thoughts or ideas on new clients or opportunities that would fit within our capabilities, let us know! Growing the RedLine family is one of our main priorities right now and we are offering a profit-sharing incentive to anyone who can help us achieve our goals.

For more details, you can email us or chat with Darcy.

Market News

We all know the markets look promising right now. With oil running at $100 per barrel, there is a certain amount of new blood being injected into the economy. That said, we are still going through a refractory period to see the fiscal benefits of the market surge. As things stabilize, we expect client’s 2023 budgets to expand.

New Talent

Heads up folks, we’re on the lookout for a laser scan technologist. Are you interested in learning something new. We’re on the cutting edge of the industry, utilizing laser scanning technologies to make a digital twin of the oil sands plants. If anyone out there is a competent scan surveyor and is good with computers, you may be a great fit for the role!

The position would be with a contractor group working alongside an oil and gas producer. You’d work with a team of survey and laser scan techs, sending data back to Calgary for processing. The job duties offer a blend of survey activities, working with people and computers. You’ll work closely with our RedLine coordinator to support priority projects.

If you’re interested in the role, or know someone who might be a good fit, email us at: [email protected]
