Laser Scanning Success at site 32-F1

We’re happy to share that the work we’ve been doing for the Site 32-F-1 Vacuum Column Heater Coils has been a huge success. Shut-down construction coordinators and site engineering have asked us to do some more scan modelling on the boiler’s internal structure. We’ve been working hard with the client shut down construction coordinators  on their turnaround project for the 32-F-1 Vacuum Column Feed Heater for several months and have seen fantastic results.

The laser scan and 3D modelling team worked long and hard on this project, but we’d particularly like to spotlight Hing Hgo, who generated the 3D piping on top of the laser scan data. Thanks to Hing’s design work, the heater coil replacements fit like a glove, saving money on field work and time on schedule. Hing has been with RedLine since January 2018 and he’s continued to provide us with reliable, high-quality work by consistently developing and honing his abilities as a draftsperson.

His work, which we’ve posted here, was critical in providing the site coordinators with savings in labour and parts. Hing and the RedLine Team have continued to show clients the excellent work RedLine brings to a job. Here’s a testimonial from site coordinators:

“The RedLine Team managed it superbly and the outcome was brilliant. The area superintendent was pleased and happy with the outcome. RedLine provided us with prefabrication that fits and saves money on material and piece welding.”

We’re hoping to see more good news from the continued work we’ll be putting in on this job. As our workload begins to pick up in the coming days, we know we’ll see more of our world-class technicians make us proud.
